Carbon Ping

Powerful and Forgiving Ping Rapture V2 Driver Review

The Ping Rapture V2 Driver uses carbon composite and titanium in a powerful and forgiving head designed to be easy to hit, long and high flying. The 460cc head is slightly elongated by extending the face height and aggressively sloping the crown. The thin face is precisely machined and plasma-welded to deliver higher ball speeds for greater distance. On the golf wholesale market, the V2s are quite popular.

The Rapture V2 driver represents the culmination of Ping’s development of multi-metal technology that combines the key properties of the materials to maximise the performance of the club. The Rapture V2′s 460 cc head combines a titanium body with external tungsten weight pads that are located at the back of the club, near the heel and toe. The weight pads position the centre of gravity to allow the Ping Rapture V2 Driver to deliver a lower spin and high launch angle together with a higher MOI that improves both distance and accuracy. The head is plasma-welded and it’s taller face has been machined to variable thicknesses to promote increased ball speed and is styled with an aggressively tapered crown featuring the Double-Rapture alignment aid.

There was a decent amount of forgiveness provided by the Ping Rapture V2 Driver. There is a relatively large sweet spot to work with. So as long as you’re not way off with a strike, you should be able to keep the golf ball in play quite well with this Driver. If you want to buy a V2 without spending too much, choosing golf wholesale stores is a wise choice.
